The world's population is increasing, leading to a growing demand for housing. This poses challenges for the Construction industry, not only in meeting housing needs but also in protecting the environment. According to a recent report from UNEP and Yale CEA, the construction sector is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for approximately 37% of global emissions.
Therefore, transitioning from traditional housing models to "green and sustainable" models is necessary. This not only addresses environmental issues but also provides a greener and more sustainable living experience for users through optimized resource utilization throughout the life cycle of the building.
However, green building is a complex issue that requires synchronization and comprehensive efforts in design, construction, equipment manufacturing, technology, materials, policies, and finances. To provide opportunities to learn about these issues, GS Community has launched GREEN & SUSTAINABLE MAGAZINE, offering readers diverse perspectives on green building through regular monthly.
In the first issue, GREEN & SUSTAINABLE MAGAZINE will cover three main content sections as follows:
