Community.
The world's population is increasing, which leads to an increasing demand for housing. This poses challenges for the Construction industry regarding meeting accommodation needs and environment protection. According to a report from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the Yale Center for Ecosystems and Architecture (Yale CEA), the construction industry is the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for about 37% of total global emissions.
Therefore, the transition from the traditional housing model to the "green - sustainable housing" model is necessary. This not only solves environmental problems but also brings greener, more sustainable lives to users through optimal solutions for resource consumption by dint of the provision from our project.
Understanding the negative impacts that the construction industry causes to the environment, in May 2021, the Green and Sustainable Community (GS Community) project under the NGO Keep It Beautiful Vietnam (KIBV) was officially born with the aim to bringing about positive solutions to minimize negative impacts from the Construction industry on the environment and to promoting green and sustainable building development in Vietnam.
